Musk lead Dodd on a tour throughout the launching site in South Texas which is known as Starbase. In the first part of Elon musk’s tour, Musk takes them through the High way, where the Starship prototypes are assembled together, and through then to the area which is currently under construction MegaBay.

Something about SpaceX Mechazilla
In the latest video, Dodd and Musk continue creating their route through the facilities and head up to SpaceX’s Orbital Launch Tower which is also known as Mechazilla.
The tower will support the launching and landing part of the Starship spacecraft, in which SpaceX plans to send to the red planet Mars, and it is designed to release and control the spacecraft with two large arms.
The tower stands for 469 feet (143 meters) tall and about 100 feet (30.4 meters) which taller than the Statue of Liberty. SPACEX is moving towards to use some “robot chopsticks” on its new Starship rocket.
Will Mechazilla will help to achieve the aim of city on Mars
This month in july, CEO Elon Musk gave detailed view of how the new Mechazilla orbital grabbing arm will be helpful for the Starship rocket. The aim is to catch the ship and its Super Heavy booster when they return to Earth.
The technique will be an upgraded over the droneships which is currently used for Falcon 9 boosters returning to Earth from missions. This could help the firm to achieve its most ambitious targets for example launching the same Starship three times per day. That, in fact means it have a chance of achieving its aim of a city on Mars by 2050.
It’s one of the most important feature spaceflight project which already breaking new ground.
The Starship have a feature that it is a fully-reusable rocket which is capable of sending over 100 tons or 100 people into space at a time. The ship is designed to support all of SpaceX’s current missions with also paving the way for important plans like a base on the Moon or building a city on Mars.
SpaceX Mechazilla: Why this is named like that?
Mechazilla is the name which Musk had give to the launch tower which is situated next to the Starship launchpad. The pad is located at the firm’s Starbase facility in Texas, where it aims to host the rocket’s first-ever orbital flight later this year.
In month of April 2021, which Musk explained on Twitter that, if it had some legs, it would called “Mechazilla” which is most likely a reference to Mechagodzilla which is a character from the Godzilla movie franchise, which first appeared in the 1974 movie Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla
SpaceX Mechazilla: What is its work-
Launch towers which are made for rockets are nothing new. NASA explains that the Fixed Service Structure which is made at the Kennedy Space Center’s Launch Pad 39A — which is used for rockets like the SpaceX Falcon 9 and NASA’s space shuttle — measures around 347 feet from the ground the top of the lightning part. It have features of three swing arms which acess to a shuttle placed on the pad.

But SpaceX is thinking something bigger with the Mechazilla. In month of December 2020, Musk claimed that the firm planned to use the launch tower’s arms to control the Super Heavy booster when it returns to Earth.
